Active as both a performer and educator, Jeanne Rogers has been performing
and teaching for over 20 years. She has toured Japan, Germany, and Alaska, as well as performed in various music festivals including the Aspen Music Festival, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute, the Round Top Music Festival, the Quartet Program, and Meadowmount.
As a student at the Eastman School of Music, Jeanne received her Bachelor in Music degree under the tutelage of the great viola pedagogue Heidi Castleman. She continued her studies at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music and was awarded a Master of Music degree.
A strong proponent of music education, Jeanne has served on the faculty for the Youth Orchestras of San Antonio, The Mid-Texas Symphony String Program, Sequoia Chamber Music Camp and youth orchestras in both Marin and Oakland California. Additionally, she served on the faculty of Southwest Texas State University in San Marcos, the Armstrong Community Music School in Austin, and also maintains a private studio of viola and violin students.
Currently living in Seattle, Jeanne has become an active performer throughout the Northwest performing with The Vancouver Symphony Orchestra (Washington), Eugene Symphony, and more!
